SC DECIDES ON CYBERCRIME LAW

The high court has reportedly issued a temporary restraining order on Republic Act 10175, temporarily stopping law enforcement agencies from implementing the assailed provisions of the law.

E-PETITION VS CYBERCRIME LAW

Officials and members of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines, Philippine Press Institute, Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility, and Photojournalists Center of the Philippines file the first e-petition against the Cybercrime Prevention Act at the Supreme Court. The e-petition, circulated and signed online, questions the constitutionality of some of the provisions of Republic Act 10175.

‘BLACK TUESDAY’ AGAINST CYBERCRIME LAW

Various groups opposing Republic Act (RA) No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act picket in front of the Supreme Court (SC) in Manila on Tuesday. The protesters asked the SC to strike down provisions of the law that would impede the free flow of information from Internet users in the Philippines.
